4th Annual Villari's Kick-a-thon, Oct 1
Our family is so grateful to be blessed with good fortune, but we are aware of the needs of others who face difficult times. To that end, we are excited to, once again, participate in the annual Villari's Kick-a-thon to support Manna on Main Street.
Each year, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Schools of the Villari's Self Defense team up to raise money for Manna on Main Street. Last year's event raised $9,000. Villari's goal is $10,000 for 2011. Our family raised over $1,200 last year and our goal for 2010 is $1,500.
Our own family is, once again, honored to kick-start this event with the singing of the United States National Anthem by Chuck Coxhead.
As many of you have done in the past, we again ask for your financial support to help us "kick" hunger and provide for those who struggle to meet the most basic needs for their families.
To help, click the Donate button. Your support does not have to end there. We would love to see you at our Kick-a-thon. This event features our students completing 500 kicks as a group, silent auctions, classic cars, D.J., entertainment, and a martial arts breaking demonstration by Master Harry Pfister, 6th Dan. The Kick-a-thon will be held (rain or shine), Sat, Oct 1, Noon-3pm, Villari's Self Defense Center, New Britain Square, 4275 County Line Road, Chalfont, PA.
Manna on Main Street was founded in 1981 and has grown to be a place where those seeking help and those willing to help have gathered to work together. Manna provides a soup kitchen and food cupboard, and a variety of other programs to help individuals in need. The vision of Manna on Main Street is "that everyone might be fed."
